Direct files
PyStatsV1 and Applied Statistics with Python and R
Readers of Applied Statistics with Python and R should use the versioned Book
1 route rather than the older warm-up files:
python -m pip install "pystatsv1[book1]==0.25.2"
pystatsv1 book1 init
Open the official Book 1 companion page for complete setup,
verification, direct-download, platform, and APA Article Lab instructions.
APA Article Lab Reader Starter
The APA Article Lab Reader Starter
is a free synthetic-data proof-first workflow that moves from a documented
psychology experiment to APA-style teaching artifacts. It uses Python for the
primary workflow and selected R calculations for independent verification.
Ubuntu native and Windows 11 with WSL2 + Ubuntu are verified reader routes.
macOS remains an untested power-user adaptation route.
Historical warm-up
The historical Psych Stats with Python starter kit remains available on the
free resources page for older readers. It is free and
card-free, but it is not interchangeable with the current Book 1 companion.
Contribution boundary
The PyStatsV1 resources are available free. Optional Stripe sandbox infrastructure testing is
kept separate from this reader page. Live Stripe activation remains blocked by
environment gates and requires a separate review. Contributions are voluntary
and are not tax-deductible charitable donations unless explicitly stated after
proper review.
